Features List

  • 5 Lines

    5 Lines

Easily adapt your telephony service according to the size of your company.

    5 Lines

Multiple Lines provide you with a cost effective business solution, allowing you to adapt your telephony service depending on size and nature of inbound calls.

How does it help my business?

One of the most important features of a communications system is flexibility. Multiple lines mean it is possible to have one line going into your business but have several different telephone numbers, allowing traffic to be directed to a specific number. This is particularly useful for separate business features or marketing campaigns as you can direct or monitor calls accordingly.

One main advantage is that you can add more lines or give each extension an individual phone number according to the size of your business, adding or removing lines as required. When in use, you are alerted to incoming phonecalls on each different line and can place one customer on hold whilst dialling out from a different line or answer an alternative incoming call.

  • High Definition Audio

    High Definition Audio

Unrivalled audio quality with built in high quality audio circuits and wideband codecs.

    High Definition Audio

For clarity there's nothing that sounds better. Technology such as VoIP has raised the standards and encouraged improvements in overall voice quality in telephony.

    How does it work?

Wideband audio extends the frequency of voice signals as they are transmitted, meaning that the audio range is greater. The greater the range, the closer the signal to the natural range of the human voice. Wideband samples the voice signals at 16KHz, while narrowband samples at 8KHz.

Traditional telephone networks generally use narrowband audio - VoIP uses wideband audio. This means phonecalls via a VoIP connection are much better quality- it's more like talking to someone face to face than over the phone. Users have commented that wideband audio makes it easier to recognise different voices, listen to sounds and differentiate between letters that are often mis-heard, such as 's' and 'f'.

  • Conference Calling

    Conference Calling

Hold an impromptu conversation with two or more other parties.

    Conference Calling

Conference calls are an essential and cost effective method of communicating with your colleagues or customers.

How does it help my business?

Coordinate your meetings, arrange instant conferences or hold quick consultations between colleagues in either the same office or in geographically different locations. Conference calls save time and minimize the use of resources whilst increasing productivity.

  • Speakerphone

    Speakerphone

Perfect if you're after an impromptu conference or can't pick up the handset.

    Speakerphone

Enjoy hands-free conversations at the touch of a button using the speakerphone feature. With a microphone and loudspeaker, the phone allows several people to speak within one conversation, while the loudspeaker projects the voice of the recipient. A user can switch from receiver to speakerphone any time during an active call using the corresponding button on their keypad or screen.

    Types of speakerphone

Speakerphones use two different systems - full-duplex or half-duplex. The phones Usomo provide are full-duplex, meaning everyone is able to speak and be heard at the same time.

    Bluetooth Server

Bluetooth is a network that allows a device to connect wirelessly and exchange or synchronise data with other Bluetooth devices. Simply activate Bluetooth, scan for other devices and connect. This means you can connect to other appliances such as computers, printers, tablets, headsets and speakers.

How would this help my business?

Use the connectivity of Bluetooth to make your business even more productive and utilise the freedom and flexibility of wireless. Transfer email attachments or listen to a call through your wireless headset via the short-range wavelength radio transmissions, meaning you can listen, view and transfer on different devices.

  • Colour Display

    Colour Display

How does it help my business?

Enhance your telephony experience and utilise the full potential of the screen to view documents, apps and media on a full colour display.

    Mobile Pairing

How does it help my business?

For added flexibility, activate Bluetooth on your desk phone and connect with your mobile so that you can chose to make or receive calls on either phone. Pairing can be initiated from both devices- simply scan your bluetooth network, enter a pin and connect. Once connected, the desk phone will assign one of the line buttons to your mobile and an icon will appear on the desktop to show they are paired.

Editors Review

The SPA525G is an executive desk phone with a multitude of neat features. The phone itself can pair with a mobile device via Bluetooth, meaning that you can choose to make or receive calls via either device. Syncing the phone with your Google Address Book is easily done, and means that any new contact added to your mobile phone is automatically synced to the Cisco device. Small gripes are that the phone doesn't have a cord tidy (though the receiver makes a nice click when returned), and Google Sync imports all contacts, even if there is no number associated with the individual.
